Megan is an associate attorney and joined Levine Smith Coburn & Koslin in 2024. Growing up with a father who was an experienced trial attorney before becoming a superior court judge, Megan followed in his footsteps when she began her legal career in 2007 practicing criminal law. After honing her skills in the criminal trial courts of Georgia, Megan expanded her practice in 2014 to include family law. In 2018, when she became the managing attorney at Altman & Lane in Thomasville, Georgia, nearly all of her cases were focused on family law and today she exclusively practices family law.
In addition to divorce, Megan handles custody, modification, contempt, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and family violence cases. She understands the struggles that her clients face as they deal with all types of family law issues. Megan also knows that every case is different, and that each client needs someone who will listen and guide them along the turbulent path of family law litigation. A stepmother herself, Megan has personally witnessed the toll a family law issue can have on someone and understands the kind of support needed.
Megan was born and raised in Colquitt, Georgia. She graduated with highest honors from Kennesaw State University in 2004 and from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2007. She and her family live in Decatur. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, traveling, reading and rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs.
